ABOUT WEN TING
Transforming Healthcare Through Evidence-Based Practices
Wen Ting Tong is an accomplished implementation researcher and senior lecturer in the Department of Primary Care Medicine at Universiti Malaya. She earned her PhD from Universiti Malaya, focusing on developing strategies to integrate patient decision aids into primary care settings, fostering shared decision-making between patients and healthcare providers. Following her PhD, Wen Ting refined her expertise as a research fellow at the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions at the National University of Singapore.
Rooted in implementation science, evidence-based practice, and patient-centred care, Wen Ting’s work addresses critical healthcare challenges, including mental health, reproductive health, and e-health. Her contributions have been featured in internationally renowned journals such as Implementation Science, BMJ Open, and Journal of Medical Internet Research. She has also co-authored influential book chapters published by Routledge London and Springer, solidifying her reputation as a thought leader in the academic and healthcare communities.
Beyond research, Wen Ting is a dedicated educator. Her online courses have reached a global audience of healthcare professionals, equipping them with practical strategies to integrate evidence-based practices effectively. Recognised with multiple international research awards, Wen Ting continues to champion innovations that drive meaningful and sustainable improvements in healthcare systems worldwide.
